On 16 November 2006, an Agreement on Co-operation between the Chairman of Account Chamber of Russian Federation, Mr. Sergey Vadimovich STEPASHIN and Chairman of State Supreme Audit of Albania, Mr. Robert ÇEKU was singed in the Account Chamber of Russian Federation, wherein both parties declared and confirmed the increase of co-operation efficiency between the two supreme institutions.
The main directions of co-operation include:

The exchange of experiences for the improvement of financial audit methodology;

Professional trainings for the improvement of staff professional standarts;

The exchange of information and documentation on their activity;

The organization of study project and joint audits.

Also, this Agreement forecast the co-operation in the field of consultations, seminars and conferenses related to the main issues of the public financial audit, and the exchange of common visits of delegations for the porpose of study experiences in the field of government audit. |

In addition, the Account Chamber of Russian Federation will assist the State Supreme Audit of Albania in strengthening and enhancing the fight against fraud and corrution by means of audit, and will support its involvement in the INTOSAI Working Group for th money laundering.
