From 27 April-1 May 2009, the Turkish International Administration of Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA), in collaboration with the Court of Accounts of Turkey, held in Ankara the workshop on External Audit.
By invitation of TIKA, the workshop was attended by three representatives of ALSAI management and audit staff, among other’s from Region’s Supreme Audit Institutions.
The workshop focused mainly in the presentation of TCA experience in the auditing techniques applied.
The main types of audit approached in the topics of discussion were:
1.Financial Audit
2.Performance Audit
During the presentation of audit methodologies, were addressed issues such as: process and stages of audit development, planning and reporting, audit techniques on risk and materiality base, etc.
The ALSAI representative’s participation to this workshop, is in the wake of other training activities acquired by our audit staff aiming audit capacity building, exchange of experiences among the participants of different countries institutions, as well as introduction with the latest developments in the field of external audit in public sector.
